"My young mare was very difficult when initially saddle breaking her and it continued under saddle. She refused to go forward, ignored the rider’s aids, and bucked regularly. Several experts had examined her and each time there was no specific diagnosis. After a year of trying different approaches, Bieke examined my horse. She saw immediately that there was something wrong and conducted a functional and neurological examination. As a horse owner you are often blind to neurological symptoms that a horse can have, but during Bieke’s examination it became clear that my horse indeed showed neurological symptoms. She referred me to a clinic where it was confirmed that she had a neurological problem in her neck. Through Bieke’s knowledge, accuracy and closely monitored rehabilitation plan, my horse can be ridden again without any problems."

"My 4-year-old horse always had difficulty with lateral work. He did not keep his body balanced on circles. I thought there was something hurting in his body. He was, after all, as a 2-year stitched on the side of his stomach after an accident in the pasture. Bieke examined my horse. She looked at him on the lunge on hard and soft surfaces. The horse showed a mild lameness on a small circle. She did several manual tests for testing the joint mobility and did some exercises and then reassessed his gaits. It turned out that he could use bending exercises to learn to balance his own body. He is already moving much better on the lunge, but he still needs more exercise under saddle."
